If The Devourer of Gods has reached Phase 2 in a world, this phase does not occur and the fight immediately moves onto the Final Phase once the Devourer enters its portal. If any of the Sentinels have not been defeated in a world, they will not be weakened when encountered in this phase.Īfter each Sentinel has been defeated, The Devourer of Gods reappears in its final phase with a different appearance, buffed stats, unique movement, and different attacks. Should the player take over 2 minutes to kill a Sentinel, the next one will appear regardless of whether the previous one has been killed or not. They appear in this order, the next Sentinel spawning immediately after the previous Sentinel has been defeated: Upon reaching 66% health, the sky turns pitch black, making it difficult to tell which movement method The Devourer of Gods is currently following.Īfter The Devourer of Gods reaches 60% health, it will become intangible and fly into a portal, any remaining Cosmic Guardians (in Revengeance Mode or harder) will disappear, and the player is suddenly attacked by weakened versions of the Sentinels of the Devourer, each one individually attacking the player.Lasers travel further and faster as The Devourer of Gods loses health. One laser will always be aimed directly at the player. These patterns follow a set order of from the right, from the left, from the right and left, and from all 4 cardinal directions.Upon reaching 90% health, on intervals, fires a barrage of death lasers from the sides of the player, telegraphed by lines, in patterns shaped like an X.The Devourer of Gods' movement speed increases upon reaching 92%, 84%, 76%, and 68% health. All segments inflict the God Slayer Inferno and Whispering Death debuffs upon contact. ![]() Always charges, and is affected by gravity, while aggressive (purple). Charges the player if they are airborne while passive (blue). If the player is far away from The Devourer of Gods, it will quickly switch to its aggressive (purple) phase in order to accelerate to them, regardless of the timer. As the Devourer of Gods' health decreases, it spends less and less time in its passive (blue) phase, eventually only switching to it for less than a second. These modes primarily function on a timer, periodically alternating between the two behaviors. This mode also lasts for fifteen seconds, after which The Devourer of Gods turns passive to grounded players and resumes flying, the sky turns blue, and Warped replaces Extreme Gravity. Replacing Warped, the Extreme Gravity debuff is inflicted on all players, disabling infinite flight and reducing flight time by 25%. It cannot fly in this state when on-screen, but it gains extremely high acceleration and top speed. This effect is identical to the Caribbean Rum.Īfter fifteen seconds (initially), the sky turns purple and The Devourer of Gods descends to the ground, now continuously charging at the player regardless of their distance above the ground. ![]() The Devourer of Gods can move through air as if it were solid blocks in this mode, and the Warped debuff is inflicted on all players, which multiplies their Y velocity by 1.01 every frame, in turn making them slightly floatier. ![]() It will not attempt to physically attack unless the player is a noticeable distance off the ground. When initially spawned, the sky will turn blue and the boss will fly and circle in the air over the player like a Crawltipede. ![]() The Devourer of Gods has 82 segments in total during phase 1, and 102 segments in total during phase 2. The Devourer of Gods' body segments sport very high Damage Reduction (DR), however its head and tail segments do not and will even take increased damage, rendering them the primary targets for dealing damage. The Devourer of Gods at its core is a worm enemy, featuring a head trailed by body segments and ending with a tail, flying through the air and digging through blocks.
